If you are interested in becoming a chaplain, please contact Rev. Marty Newman. You must be a voting member of the church to be considered for a chaplain position.
The heart of a chaplain is one of unconditional acceptance as well as a practice of affirmative prayer. A clear understanding of Unity Principle and a daily personal prayer and meditation practice. The emotional maturity to keep confidences is also essential, not only not to share any information, but also to hold the person who reveals it in the highest consciousness.
Chaplains, both current and those applying must attend the Life of Prayer class to be held Sundays, September 15th, 22nd, and 29th, 12:00 to 1:30 pm, and the Chaplains Retreat overnight at the Benedictine Monastery in Saint Leo, FL scheduled Oct 18th, 4:00 pm through the 19th and 20th.
After the retreat, an interview for each chaplain with Rev. Marty and the chaplain coordinator is required to assess the readiness and commitment for service on the chaplain team.
