Join us on Sunday, September 13th at 10:30 am as we welcome back the delightful Rev. Barbara Williams with a message on "A More Perfect Union." Christine Mariani blesses this service with her angelic voice and inspired musical selections uplifting this service.
This past July we celebrated the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence that created a new radical vision for freedom and governance. Then in 1786 came the difficult job of framing a Constitution from the many divergent governing colonies. Within the Preamble of the Constitution is the call for a commitment to a “more perfect” society. When we look at the phrase 'a more perfect union', we aren't looking at a historical achievement to protect. We are looking at a spiritual assignment to fulfill. So how do these words of our Founders not only apply to our country but also reflect our spiritual commitment to personal transformation?
